The Deal

Betting Rounds

1. Pre-flop
The first two players seated at the immediate left of the Dealer place two mandatory bets consecutively, known as Small Blind and Big Blind respectively. The amount of the Big Blind is usually twice the amount of the Small Blind.
Once the players in the blinds position place their bets in the pre-flop round of the game, the remaining players seated to their left take turns to act in the round. Players have the option to check (pass the action), call (match the previous bet), bet or raise (increase the bet) or fold (discard their hand and forfeit the round).
