Dehla Pakad Glossary
Dealer
Dealing is the act of distributing cards to players in a game. The player who deals the cards is called a dealer.
Hand
A hand in Dehla Pakad is one where all players have thrown their best card possible to win a game. The player who manages to either throw the highest ranked card or a trump wins that hand.
Kot
When a team manages to collect all four 10s in a game of Dehla Pakad, it is called Kot.
Round
A game of Dehla Pakad consists of only 1 round. Each round consists of 13 hands each.
Trump
The very first time a player is unable to follow suit, the card he plays then sets the trump suit (called hukum) for this hand and the remainder of the hands during this round. This suit becomes the most powerful suit in that game.
