Launched by the house of Baazi Games, India's one-of-a-kind multi-card gaming app, rummybo is already making noise with its inaugural edition of the Indian Rummy League (IRL) 2022. Flaunting a gigantic prize pool of INR 10 Crore, the rummy league went live on 26th March and witnessed over 26,000 entries and a total of 6 lakh hands played by participants from all across India. 

Winner in 1st Edition of the Indian Rummy League

Ran Singh, a 39-year-old Indian from Mahendra Gadh, Haryana clinched the champion title at the final table of the event held on the 15th of June in Goa. His professional prowess in Indian Rummy was realized with prize money of INR 20Lakhs from a prize pool of 1 Crore. 

Pankaj Raghunath Khaire from Surat and Rajesekhar Palantla from Bangalore bagged 2nd and 3rd position in the tournament and took home a sum of INR 10Lakhs and 5Lakhs respectively.

Besides the winner's glory, the tournament created a wholesome effect even for the rest of the participants who displayed exceptional skills in the IRL. The event recorded a huge success in the Indian Rummy circuit as more than 100 players won over INR 1LAC at the tables, thereby, cementing a stellar quality of competition across a variety of rummy game formats.

In addition, as many as 150 players won more than INR 10,000 each in the IRL. The fact that rummybo supported zero entry fees for those qualifying through satellite tourneys, the entire league has been a thriving experience for participants.

The success of rummybo's Indian Rummy League can be further appreciated by its participation from beyond the metropolitan cities with entries registered from cities like Bundi, Nashik, Raipur, Aurangabad, Panjim, Dehradun, Gorakhpur and Rajkot among others.
